Elago S5 Outfit for iPhone 5 unboxing and short review

After owning my iPhone 5 since the release a few months ago I thought it was finally time to upgrade the cheap but functional case that i bought on release day. Well I say cheap it wasn’t cheap it was an overpriced unknown brand from T-Mobile however I needed a case and that’s all they had so bought it.

I have been looking around for a good protective case that wasn’t too big, offered great protection and also looked good and didn’t make my iPhone twice the size.  In the past I have used Switcheasy cases and found them great, but this time there wasn’t anything that really appealed to me.

Finally I mamanged to find a case that ticked all the boxes i was after, this case was the Elago S5 Outfit, I purchased it from Amazon for £19.99 and have to say it’s a fantastic case. So far it feels great, looks great and protects the phone well.  

Both top and bottom of the phone are exposed but there is enough protection to prevent and damage from it being dropped. The screen is also protected from scratching when placed face down on a surface as there is a very small raised lip that is just enough to stop screen to surface contact.

The case also adds a little extra weight to the phone which I rather as I thought the iPhone 5 was too light compared to iPhone 4, The dual texture design is also nice as it adds a mix of aluminum and polycarbonate.

Overall I’m very pleased with the case and have to say for a slim, protective and well-designed case it’s one of the best I have seen on the market.
